Digital X-rays
We offer digital radiography, which offers benefits beyond the traditional x-ray. We place a sensor that is about the size and shape of a normal x-ray film in your mouth. This small sensor will capture an image of teeth, supporting bones, and gums, and translate it into a crisp, large image on our computer system. With images ready in seconds, the waiting time is reduced significantly. These images are stored for future reference, and can always be accessed in order to visualize changes in the health of teeth over time.
Digital radiographs require 90% less radiation than traditional x-rays, you can relax because the radiation is so low! We also have a lead apron with a thyroid collar attached for our patients to wear. While many patients are concerned with the radiation received from dental x-rays, we can assure that digital radiographs reduce a patient’s exposure to radiation.
CBCT (3D imaging)
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) provides highly detailed, three-dimensional images of a patient’s teeth and bone structure offering a more comprehensive view than traditional 2D X-rays. Our dentist in Naples, FL, use these precise 3D views primarily for complex diagnostic and treatment planning purposes, such as accurately placing dental implants, evaluating impacted teeth, and navigating intricate root canal anatomy. This technology significantly enhances the safety and predictability of surgical procedures, leading to improved outcomes and allowing clinicians to identify hidden issues like fractures or infections that might otherwise be missed.
Intra Oral Scanner (CEREC PrimeScan 1 and PrimeScan 2)
The CEREC PrimeScan 1 and the newer, often wireless, PrimeScan 2 are advanced intraoral scanners used in dentistry to capture highly detailed, full-color 3D digital impressions of a patient’s mouth. This technology replaces traditional impression trays, enhancing patient comfort and making the process faster and cleaner. The resulting precise 3D models are immediately used with CAD/CAM software for efficient in-house design and fabrication of various dental restorations such as same-day crowns, veneers, bridges, and implants. These scanners also streamline the digital workflow for planning orthodontic treatments (like clear aligners), creating surgical guides, and diagnosing conditions, with the PrimeScan 2 adding advanced features.
CAD CAM Milling Unit
A CAD/CAM milling unit in dentistry is a high-precision, computer-controlled machine that carves dental restorations from solid blocks of material like ceramic or resin based on a digital design. This process is primarily used to create custom items such as crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, and veneers, often within a single patient appointment. By translating digital impressions and designs into physical products with accuracy, the milling unit improves efficiency and ensures an excellent fit.
3D Printer
3D printers in dentistry are primarily used to manufacture highly customized dental appliances such as crowns, bridges, dentures, and clear aligners. They also fabricate precise, patient-specific surgical guides for implant procedures and accurate anatomical models for diagnostic planning and educational purposes. Laser Dentistry
We currently use a Diode Laser to perform gum contouring procedures, and to treat cold sores and other mouth sores, all with minimal pain, swelling and accelerated healing.
Itero for Invisalign
The iTero Element Intraoral Scanner is the next generation of intra oral devices. Almost eliminating the need for traditional impressions, this system is used for crowns, bridges, implants, Invisalign, Retainers, and even occlusal guards. The scans are significantly more accurate and comfortable for all patients.

Intra-Oral Camera
Intraoral cameras are used during oral examinations to diagnose oral health conditions, and help with establishing a treatment plan. They are able to identify cracks, and decay that cannot yet be seen on conventional X-rays. Another advantage of these digital images is that a digital copy of a of the image can easily be attached to your dental health record which plays a significant role in education as well as insurance reimbursement.
The intra-oral camera also has capabilities of caries detection. The camera uses transillumination, which shines light right through teeth to identify cracks, and carious lesions that are between teeth and on chewing surfaces of teeth.
Diagnodent Laser
The Diagnodent is used as an aid in the diagnosis of dental caries on thoroughly cleaned teeth. The laser light is designed to get down into the pits and grooves and discover caries and decay. It sends readings so the progression of the dental caries can be monitored from visit to visit. It can also find caries and decay before they can develop into more serious problems and require extensive and expensive treatment. The Diagnodent is a highly effective and reliable tool in preventative dentistry.
GBT
Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) is a modern, systematic approach to professional dental cleaning that focuses on the efficient, comfortable, and minimally invasive removal of the bacterial layer known as biofilm. Unlike traditional scaling and polishing that can be uncomfortable, GBT uses a disclosing agent to make the biofilm visible, followed by a gentle stream of warm water, and air to remove it. This process effectively prevents cavities and gum disease while being safe for natural teeth, implants, and orthodontic appliances.
